Targeting

Every copy of the app downloads the same list of sponsors and picks one on the user's computer. You can target by context, by interest and by disk signals, without anyone's data ever leaving their machine.

Disk signals

Evaluated on the device.

disk_full_above: The startup disk is at least this full, for example 85%. Perfect for storage and cleanup offers.
external_drive: An external drive is (or isn't) connected. Useful for backup products.

Interest and disk rules only apply to users who keep Personalized sponsors on (the default). Everyone else sees untargeted or context-only banners.

Privacy, in plain words

Our users trust SquirrelDisk with a map of their disk. We keep that trust, and your brand benefits from it.

Nothing about users is ever shared with sponsors, or with us.
Targeting happens on the user's computer. The server never receives interests, disk data, file names or any identifier.
Reporting is aggregate only: views and clicks per ad, placement and day.
Any segment below 50 events is hidden (k-anonymity threshold of 50).
No cookies, no tracking pixels, no third-party scripts. Clicks go through a plain redirect that only knows the ad id.
Users can turn off personalized sponsors or anonymous stats at any time.

Title: About 40 characters (up to 80 are kept)
Text: About 60 characters (up to 160 are kept), optional
Link: An https:// URL. UTM parameters are fine.
Icon: One of the built-in icons below. No remote images, by design.
Weight: Relative frequency among matching sponsors
